Bayer 04 Leverkusen have secured the future of Argentinian World Cup winner Exequiel Palacios, with the midfielder penning a new deal to keep him at the club until 2025.
The 24-year-old has been a key figure for Leverkusen since joining the club from River Plate in 2020, and has played a pivotal role in their recent success.
Palacios' new contract is a reward for his outstanding performances, and will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2025. He will be aiming to add to his silverware collection with Leverkusen, who are currently top of the Bundesliga.
Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes said: "We are delighted that Exequiel has extended his contract with us. He is a very talented player who has already shown his quality for both club and country.
